I've been obsessed with that song and listened to that and "Heroes" on repeat while drawing this. It just gives off the perfect mood.
Story behind this picture is that Hana and Honour (CYANTEA 's character) have broken up. And after a few years, they decide they want to see each other again, the smoke flare being Hana's peculiar way of signaling her location. I guess meeting at the cafe for coffee is too mainstream for them?
Anyway, my prints, including this picture, are available on Society6 now. I'll be writing the journal for that in a moment.

Ever since I saw this image way back (not even sure how I found it at this point) I keep coming back to it ever so often to just look and listen to the song. This is not something I find myself doing for many images. But it just pleases me for some reason. Just thought I'd let you know, well done

I love the lighting and the flare just add that hint of a story. I find myself thinking of the reasons that she ended up at that location (I know you have told us the story behind it, but I like thinking of my own).

That is some really nifty lighting. Also I have noticed this in a few of your works but I really like the focus pull you do with the fairly well defined figure/foreground and the sort of fuzzy abstracted backgrounds which give just enough of an impression to get the idea of where they are across. Nice : D

I just wanted to thank you for indirectly introducing me to alternative rock music. We Are The City is now one of my favourite alt-rock bands and has been such an inspiration ever since I first heard them.

Once there was a little girl called Clarissa, she was ten-years-old and she lived in a mental
hospital, because she killed her mom and her dad. She got so bad she went to kill all the
staff in the hospital so the More-government decided that best idea was to get rid of her so
they set up a special room to kill her, as humane as possible but it went wrong the
machine they were using went wrong. And she sat there in agony for hours until she died.
Now every week on the day of her death she returns to the person that reads this letter, on
a Monday night at 12:00 a.m. She creeps into your room and kills you slowly, by cutting you
and watching you bleed to death. Now send this to ten other pictures on this one site, and
she will haunt someone else who doesn't. This isn't fake. apparently, if you copy and paste
