Model : CeciliaI met cecilia not too long ago. Today, roughly a week after officially meeting her, we decided to go on a semi-impromptu shoot around the city. First location we tackled was the "burrard street" skytrain station, here in downtown vancouver, bc. It was just... awesome there!!! imagine 50+ cherry blossom trees surrounding the entire area, just freshly blossomed too! it was breathtaking!
Here she is looking over the railing... btw.. I have to mention that she's a natural at posing! I hardly directed her at all, she would just be standing or sitting in a way that seemed always picture perfect... well you'll all see as this series progresses...

Ah, I thought this place looked familiar, but if it's Burrard St. I probably been there several times... Nice photo, I like the composition, and like you said, pose is great!

Yes yes, I'm sure I've been there, though I don't go downtown very often, only for the fireworks and some such ^^ (I go to Stanly a lot, though always by car not sky-train) Now if I were an internet stalker, I'd suggest that maybe we (and Cecilia ^^) could meet one day... But I'm not ^__^

I really like how you use the IR filter. It somehow enhance the delacacy of the situation. Good lines with the rail she is leaning on and how she is looking out into the vastness beyond the scope of the photo. The blossom is a beautiful framing that also conotates sofness and delicacy

i like the concept of this picture and the background...but i think the position of her scarf makes it a little awkawrd........

This is my favorite of the "Cecilia"s so far. The simplicity of the picture, and the starkness of everything, except that tree trunk... I just can't resist.
Congrats on finding a model who can be just that without trying.

A pretty model you had there Harry... she posed quite naturally too.. ^_^ You gotta love that. I don't mind the pole, where it acts as a leading line to her, but the thing that was just a bit distracting for me was the scarf covering her mouth.. I don't know, it's like a chunk of scarf just froze in front of her.. so it didn't look too natural for me...the scarf that is.... Just pay a little bit more attention in clothing next times.. ^_^ Other than that, everything works....

I did actually notice the weird scarf thing.. but that was the only shot I took in that angle and etc... she was kinda lifting it near her face I presume.. and it does kinda look off, but other than that.. I decided to post it anyways.. since everything else I was happy with...

hmmm hate to say it harry but that railing ruins the photo for me.

hehe... I dunno.. I was questioning whether to crop it more.. but I left it cuz the image feels flat without some blurry (although super subtle) dof... otherwise everything else in the pic is pretty much in focus...
