  When I first became a part of the vore community, I assumed that, since it was such a strange and unusual topic, the fans of it would be very open-minded and accepting of others. And that is true, for the most part.
  However, there is a surprising amount of intolerance and hatred over nothing but differing opinions and interests in the community, and it needs to stop.
  The first thing anyone who likes vore needs to realize is that, to the standards of "normal" society, we are weird. Words to describe vore-lovers include freak, pervert, dangerous, etc. But those of us who like vore know the stigma isn't true; not in the least.
  So why does the community stigmatize its own members in the same way society stigmatizes them? For the exact same reasons. The "stranger" forms of vore (let's be honest, all vore is equally strange), may be difficult to understand or connect to by the majority, which leads to the reponse of suppression and hatred. Overall society, which treats us this way, also teaches us to treat others this way.
  The key here is to notice that this behavior is happening, and take an active stance to prevent and stop it. Most people aren't aware they participate in this cycle. Becoming conscious of it is the best first step. The next is to talk to those who appreciate the "stranger" forms of vore, and ask them why they like it. We may find it isn't so different from our own reasons, and that attempting to form a connection to them will make it much easier to understand.
  Above all, it is important to remember that everyone has the right to like what they like. They are not hurting anyone. If we're going to like something so strange as vore at all, then we have no right to tell others they can't like a form of it. Absolutely no right.
  How would we like it if our friends or co-workers found out we like vore and hated us for it? Calling us "twisted" or "insane" for it? That's what happens to these people who find themselves bullied in their own community; a community devoted to all forms of vore, not just "soft, female, oral" vore, or similar. We have no right to exclude people.
  Everyone is unique and should have the opportunity to appreciate what they like with others, in a safe environment. By telling them they can't like their own thing, we're essentially telling them to be like us, and not themselves. Do we really want that? What good will that do? What are we accomplishing by suppressing these people, other than excluding a good source of creativity and friends?
  So, the next time an argument about which type of vore is "correct" or not, let's remember all of this, and be open-minded and willing to meet halfway. Just because someone else likes something different from us, it does not put our own preferences at risk; it's just a ridiculous fear that has no basis in reality. It is okay to accept others.
  No one has to like any kind of vore. No one has to agree with any kind. We just have to accept it, and tolerate it. Those people have as much right to be in the community as us.
  So, please - let's all do our best to end the hate in the vore community, and make it a safe place for all vore-lovers, no matter what kind they like, and why.
