Karim glanced towards Ramses as the cheetah padded back into the room. Having just debriefed Knox, he had returned just as the human healer had left the room to talk to their master who was still pacing in the foyer. They wanted her muzzled and chained as soon as the healer saw fit, ready to be transferred to the cages for more questioning when she was lucid enough to talk…

Bensen was still perched next to his mate. His worried eyes travelling between her numerous wounds. Most were superficial but the puncture wounds on her neck and slices across her face. The fact she was still unconscious worried them all.

But she was breathing and within the city. That counted for something right?

“He'll be seeing you next Ramses. You need your wounds looked at too.” The caracal was perched on the table, his worried eyes taking stock of the paler cheetah’s numerous wounds. The male cheetah ignored the comment, instead reaching up to take a closer look at his sister. “Is she going to be okay?”

She had barely woken the whole journey home. Her few words slurred and her limbs weak. It seemed she'd succumb to sleep once again, her head wound seemed to have really affected her.

“She should be okay, the head trauma is a concern however. She will need to be roused every few hours and checked on frequently. Time will tell if she has any long term impacts from it such as memory loss or personality changes…” He paused, seemingly aware that such an unknown would worry the male cheetahs in front of him. They both glanced worriedly at Enyo, their brows scrunched in concern.

Karim cleared his voice before continuing “I can, however, reassure you that the cubs will be okay. She's far enough along that-”

“THE WHAT?!?” Ramses gaze snapped straight back to the smaller cat. Bensen seemed to be mouthing *cubs* under his breath, his face a picture of shock. Eyes wide.

Karim cocked his head, ears swiveled “I'm sorry I thought you both knew. She's about half way along… lucky really, any earlier or later and we'd have been very concerned about their health after an… incidence like this”

The two males flipped between staring at Enyo in disbelief to each other. Horror, shock and concern filling them in equal measure.

What had she been thinking?!
