I prefer the version where she looks like a normal wolf (where she loses her powers and the markings and divine instrument disappears) myself though.

Maybe if they make an Okami 3, Ninetails could somehow return and be the main villain and final boss.
And maybe Amaterasu and Chibiterasu could team up together to save the world again.

Well, maybe she could be called down from them to save the world again.
I was also thinking Ammy and Chibi could lose their powers (and turn into ordinary white wolves) early in the "game" and would only receive them back when they're in a battle or when needed.
Not to mention there could also be a time limit for when they have their powers activated. But if they leave it on for too long, they'll lose them until receive an inkpot. And the more brush gods they find, the longer their powers can be up.

That would make the game really hard though (for me at least) because I use the celestial powers AS MUCH as I can and but that is a nice theory you have going!

True, the game would be harder for you.
When you start playing, you only have 2 minutes use of powers until time runs and you need to find ink pots. After finding all the brush gods, you can have the powers for up to 50 minutes.

O yeah I forgot to say there is a brief 10 seconds in Okamiden were it shows Chibi without his markings. It is in the beginning of the game and it tells how only special people can actually see the markings on the gods. Most normal people see the wolves how you like them!
