I've felt it all
and it's left me to fall
to the "lifeless me;"
your new "host-to-be."
This guilt and shame
only brought me pain
and it's only fair.
I don't deserve this air,
so please just take
all my mistakes
and make them right.
You can make this right
I just couldn't hang on
as my life began to slip away.
I just couldn't hang on
to the countless measure it had weighed.
It wasn't my life to live,
it wasn't then, and not today.
Now I give you this chance to breathe me in;
at my final shade of grey.
