Description A teenage Phoenix/Marvel Girl/Jean Grey mocking a teen Cyclops.

Yes, this is my favorite romantic comic book couple - probably my fav couple of all time. Weeell, Mulder and Scully, maybe.

Yeah, I like to think that teen Jean was a bit of a wiseass/rulebreaker and Cyke let her get away with that crap cause he secretly liked her.

Anyway, jus my theory.

And, yeah, Cyclops. The dude's a hard-ass, but can you blame him? I mean, he loses his folks, grows up in an orphanage, gets a debilitating power - yeah, I'd be a bit hard-nosed too.

Plus, the dude wears his jockstrap over his uniform. Freaking awesome.

I took Cyke's costume from the 90s animated series and Jean's from her Marvel Girl suit, I guess. (Yes, I am aware that Jean looks like she's wearing a training bra over her costume. )

Anyway, hope you likes.

Characters, Marvel.
Art, me.

Comment if ya fav, folks.

The 90s cartoon still stands as the pinnacle of X-Men animation - maybe even the pinnacle of X-Men in alternate media period. But the animation hasn't aged well.

Rant aside, I quite like this. It's cute, and I rarely go for cute, so... the fact that I like it is saying something, I think.

Even as a tow-headed 8-year-old, I didn't really go for the animation on the 90s show. I LOVED the story arcs, but when it came to animation, I prefered Batman the Animated Series. That said, I could forgive the animation on the 90s cartoon, because I loved, love and always will love the X-Men above all other comic franchises.

Thanks very much for the nice comment, by the way.

Oh, yeah, the stories were where it really shined, especially since there was no predominantly starring character. Everybody had their moment in the limelight, and some managed to even get their own solo-focus episodes. That really didn't come up in either of the ensuing X-Men cartoons, especially Wolverine and the W-Men, which, really - contributed very heavily to my current "Fuck Wolverine, I'm sick of him" attitude.

And you're very welcome.

Wolvie can jump in a lake ... yeah, just kidding (not really)

He was never my favorite. What I really went for as a kid were the strong and complex female characters in the comic (i.e. Storm my favorite X-person and my fav comic book character of all time).

Bahahahaha! But then Marvel will make a new title out of it: "Wolverine and the Scuba Dive Rescue Team".

Sigh.

It always confused me as a kid watching the 90s TV show how Scott was Cyclops and Logan was Wolverine and Remy was Gambit and Jean was ... Jean.

I never like the 90's toon.
Those are not my X-men except for Cyclops, Jean and Storm
