Description For the monthly challenge over at [link] . (Check out the great art over there. It's the bee's.)

The montly challenge was to draw a shark - so I drew several. I chose hammerhead sharks because I love the species (they look so weird and cool). Hammerheads bludgeon their prey to death using their heads, they eat stingrays and they're sharks, which make them badasses by default, eh? They are also the shark species closest to me. Only an hour 1/2 drive to get to their turf (or surf, I suppose ).

I hope you like.

Art, me.

I love it! These poses are so fun and cute, and their eyes are so expressive. I also like the different colors you used. My brother used to draw sharks all the time when he was younger, though he always went with the more realistic look.

You're so lucky to live that close to sharks! Have you ever seen one in person?

I don't think that the shark is capable of actually bludgeoning prey to death, there is no record of it doing so. It would not move its head multiple times, as it would be a waste of energy for the shark. It hits the ray once with the head, then it goes back and proceeds to eat the wings after pinning the ray to the ocean floor. Or it bites the wings off while the ray is swimming.
