Description Well, if you don't know, Gay couples are FLOCKING to California (yes, the Schwarzenegger state) right now to tie the perverbial knot. Yep, it's a Gay Marriage free for all and Gay people couldn't be gayer... you know, the "happy" kinda gay. But as we speak, congress is trying (pretty well by the looks of it) to pass a law BANNING any future gay marriages. Will the constitution protect the gay rights like it should?
Probably not. It might be technically unconstitutional to ban it, something tells me the straight majority's gonna bend those rules. But who knows... anything could happen I suppose. Hell, I'd be happy to see it stay. Whatever floats your boat I say. I don't think people should be denied their basic human rights. Some people say that Marriage is a privelage, not a right. I say Bullflop to that. Aaanyway, here's a little politics for those who like that sorta stuff.
In other news, people are getting their Dead Days books and they seem pretty jazzed about it! And they should! They kick ass! Specially for 3 bucks. Anyway, there are still some availiable if you wanna place your order. For all of you who sent your overseas order by mail, dont' worry, I've taken that into account and you will DEFINATELY get your book. For those of you still looking to place your order and get a signed copy of my baby, go here and do what it says: [link]
Anyway, enjoy the politics, new Math Major Man coming soon! Thanks for reading all you! *sobs* I love you guys.

did you notice that people call same sex marriage "unconstitutional" and "unnatural"?
it's unconstitutional to have government and religion be one, which is what we have today.
if it has to be natural to be ok, then why do we have computers, certain foods, cars, crayons, etc.? are those not to be considered "unnatural" as well?

I am honestly not proud to be called a human being alongside those who think like that.

in my opinion there should be NO gays anywere in the world. but there are sins so of course people can love who they want, im bisexual so i slightly find men attractive but of course im more into women, but god created man to love women, why? to have sex and make babies, thus creating another man to fall in love with another women. and the human race goes on, but if everyone in the world were gay the human w=race would go down, why? because both of the dudes in love with eachother have a penis, witch has a vagina and is gonna have the baby? neither. theres no point to being gay except pleasure and happieness. of course its always okay to be happy and theres no stopping anyone from wanting to be gay or just being gay, but it serves no purpose and is in a way the wrong thing to do. so i dont think its okay at all to be gay but that my opinion.

...Except all the straight folk using birth control and contraception and are only having sex for fun and not babies.
Or single people that masturbate/use sex toys.
And asexual individuals.
Oh, and did God create infertile men and women too just for shits and giggles?

Regardless of those individuals, the world is currently over populated as it is. If people keep breeding at this rate we are going to run out of resources a few generations down the line. [link]

If everyone was straight and every woman had at least 2 babies the world would overpopulate. IMO, Homosexuality is nature's way of population control.

ScarTheCat In reply to Landfish7 [2011-08-12 18:02:55 +0000 UTC]

The world IS overpopulated. Of course overpopulation has ALWAYS been a problem. But the difference between the old days and these days is that there is no more land. We've discovered and populated every habitable spot on Earth. So if the population keeps getting higher, things will go to hell...FAST. I'm talking about global war, famine, and crime EVERYWHERE. Neighbor turning on neighbor. Friend on friend. Even though it's a violation of our rights, we need to have regulations on how many children ANYONE can have ANYWHERE.

I... just don't see the desire to marry as so important. Can someone explain the desire to me? I don't need a certificate from Uncle Sam to prove I love someone. Is the thought of marriage that much more glamorous because to some it seems unattainable? I really want to know because I've never understood the alleged beauty of it.

Not trying to be rude or anything. I just realized it may have sounded rude.
Maybe I'm just a high schooler and not old enough to comprehend it. But marriage seems unnecessary to me...

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

NikiPaprika In reply to Darnimax [2012-02-14 00:25:23 +0000 UTC]

With marriage comes great responsibilities.
Marriage is not only just a way of having a very expensive day with pretty outfits and making smushy vows about your love for one another, but a lot of rights come with it that are denied to unmarried couples. A lot of them are finance related, including taxes and payments, however there are tragic consequences to not getting the same rights.
For instance, there have been problems with homosexual individuals being denied the right to visit the hospital room where their long-term partner is dying...
It is why people see marriage as a human right. To be treated the same, and not as a second class citizen for being with someone of the same gender.

Marriage can be considered a religious ceremony so it's protected by the constitution. any jew can play with words to say otherwise, but in the end they gonna get smacked by ol Tommy Jeff n Georgie, fathers of America, land of the FREE! ha that's right bitches no matter what new rules or laws come into place i will ALWAYS live by the words written on that old piece of parchment. n if that shit says guys can buttfuck then hey, they can buttfuk all they want. and i must say i rather enjoy watching lesbians so mole lol

thepsychicsquid In reply to Solite-Imortalus [2011-04-17 07:41:05 +0000 UTC]

Marriage is not a religious ceremony, it's a legal procedure. I've never seen a preist at a wedding (plus all that's needed for two people to get married is a marriage licence which is a legal thing).

You know what I think is CRAZY about PROP 8. The right to same sex marriage was GIVEN, and then this new law took it away....
That's nuts! The only time a law had been passed, and then taken away was when it didn't work (Like prohibition). Same sex marriages worked, but then they were taken away! If guns were taken, America would have gone ape-shit-mental. Imagine waking up one day and finding out you don't have the same rights as you did yesterday.

actully it is. because we have the right of equality and all laws are given equally to all US citizens. marriage is leagal, thus baning gay marriage is breaking the constitution. marriage being leagal is the reason that you marry people under a certain age or marry many people.

slothahoy In reply to ChronoCrusadeRosette [2008-11-21 00:49:21 +0000 UTC]

Ok, legalize it. Then what? How come two dudes can get married and I can't marry my dog? Why can't I marry two wives instead of just one? Hey, I love my house, why can't I marry it? The point is that a line should be drawn somewhere. Maybe I'm just crazy.

Because your dog does not have opposable thumbs. And can not consent, same goes with your house. I would like to think two consenting adults could and should have the same rights and privileges any straight couple could have.

acidninjacake2 In reply to slothahoy [2009-10-21 14:07:10 +0000 UTC]

Because a dog isn't a human being and doesn't how legal rights. Plus, it's not able to sign a contract.

And yes, the line is drawn somewhere - Marrying another human being.

Voila, line drawn.

so what you're saying is that gay marriages shouldn't exist? so i can't get married to my girlfriend?
or how about one of my old friends, can he not get married to his boyfriend?
FACTS:
1)
Gay marriage would destroy the sanctity of heterosexual marriages.
------
bullcrap.
we don't come in and steal your husbands or wives, if we're getting married, it means we truly love our partners and just want them to be ours forever.
--------
2)
Gay marriage is unnatural
--------
yeah, people have ALWAYS rejected things that aren't natural, like liposuction, glasses, computers, plastic...
--------
the point here is that gay people have just as many rights as heterosexual people.
we should get the same services, the same jobs, the same cars and the same everything as straight people get.
just because we're gay and lesbian doesn't mean we're going to steal your girlfriends, boyfriends, husbands, wives and other such things.
you are the type of person i will have to deal with in my life, just because i don't want to become a baby making machine with a husband.
besides, you can't choose who you fall in love with.
IT JUST HAPPENS.
unexpectedly, fast, and sometimes at first sight.
love is love.
you can't change it.
and with people like you, saying that gay marriage shouldn't be legalized, it means a hell of a lot of gay people aren't going to be coming out of Narnia for a long time.
how come people can get married in Las Vegas with the priest being a drunk guy dressed as Elvis and get it annulled the next day, but i can't marry my girlfriend?
answer me that, then step back and take another look at your comment.
try and be rational about this.
marrying a dog....i don't care where YOUR interests lie, but i think you're allowed to love who you want.
several wives...it's an old practice, but like i said, go ahead and follow it, just don't yell at people to like it.
there are always going to be intolerant bastards like you, thank you for giving me practice in dealing with you asses.
