i wanted for a while to do a piece with the four horsemen of the apocalypse, but i was somehow stuck and did not really know how to approach the idea.After a while I had the idea to take the concept into the present, and imagine the four riders as people of today. In my opinion they would not need any horses anymore, they would be businesspeople, lawyers, politicians and scientists.
the four horsemen from left to right: death, pestilence, the antichrist and war.

artwork is done with adobe illustrator, mainly path tool.

to your questions: i used a reference for the bodies.
face of death: you are right that it is different then the others but it needed to have some highlights because the rest of him is black. also the skull in black would look weird (at least i noticed that when i tried).
for pestilence: you are basically right, but i thought after the last incidents of fukoshima the radioactive symbol would be more fitting.

this interpretation is absolutely stunning and perfectly represented with a great technic , a symbolic very well choose and a really cool style .
