i gaussian blurred the entire layer and then set it to 'multiply' using adobe 9 - not full opacity tho, its a little too much at full... like 65% - uh, everything else about the picture is pretty basic, i wasn't going for anything too dramatic for bg.... the picture is beautiful, anything added needed to not take away attention from the main piece of inspiration
