This is my entry for Lakela 's contest. I chose the motto "Time" as I felt it would be the most challenging of the three options. I also wanted to try a bit of a different style, and I won't really do that outside of a contest/challenge, with a touch of painterly feel. I got the idea of a society of wolves who have a rite of passage where they time travel their young to the place of their death. It is a confusing journey. Nothing seem right or even real. The colors are off, the world is blurred, and they feel almost as if they should not belong here. Yet there is a brightness- a realization of the truth in this journey. I wanted that sort of confusion portrayed when time gets intertwined and manipulated.

I have been in a bit of a rut lately, so a contest was a good time to get my creativity flowing again...and of course, I use Lakela 's stock all the time, I only felt it right to enter!
