This is Jewel. Not only was she a good pet, she was the best friend I could ever have.

She died August 30th 2010, and was buried on the 31st. There have been friends and family supporting me, tell me I will get over the pain in time, unfortunately it is much harder to do this when the one thing in life that meant the world to you, died your arms. They tell me there was nothing that could have been done to prevent her death, but I will always blame myself for not doing more to help her.

I know you're long gone Jewel, but I hope you died knowing that I loved you, you were always there for me when I was sick or feeling down. And I hope you knew that you lived up to your name, because to me, and the family, you were the most precious thing to us.

Good-bye Jewel, you will always be missed, but you will never be forgotton.
