When you said ballpoints my brain didn't register it for a moment... to create something this alive, colourful and simply as detailed as this is outstanding. To be honest there is some logic in using ballpoint for something this detailed, I guess theres less of a problem with blurring pencil lines etc. and ink pens are awkward to make such fine details. This would make a great poster, it'd have to be huge though so that each time you looked at it you noticed another little detail you overlooked before. The jester and the dolls are amazing in themselves but with the backdrop and the feathers on the creature behind them (I think I know what it is but I'm not going to even guess cause its too beautifully done to second guess it).
Odd thing is, for some reason the jester reminds me of my fiancee, okay now she's going to kill me for saying that lol.
I will never feel bad about inking my stuff in biro ever again.

Okay. I'm faving this one out of your ballpoint art because I adore jesters, Love the entire color scheme, The toy casle is gorgeous, the over all shading is superb, and I so want the harlequin print tights. There's more, but that's what grapped me immediately

I must know where to get these 'ballpoints' you speak of. What brand are they, and can you get them at the art store? <3 I love the brightness. Is some of it in colored pencils? Lol I want to know how to make it all smooth and inky and stuff. *nod nod*
Anyway, I love the colors and the overall theme. I adore the little castle and all of the details you put into this. The pose is pretty, and everything and gosh this is beautiful. The folds in the close, and everything else... the way it's drawn. Just WOW.

I just can't figure out how you do it. How do you get all that detail in? And how do you keep it so clean? How big is the original piece?
