I can't believe I pulled this one off! I've absolutely been in love with Tim Schafer's Brutal Legend ever since it came out and knew right away I wanted to make some epic costumes to spread the love. There are not enough Brutal Legend cosplays!I've never worn so much body paint and was super nervous about it. But with extensive research and a few trial runs, I made it work to best of my ability.
I convinced my darling boyfriend to wear this Doviculus costume and he was a champ about it even though he could barely breath. He creeped a ton of people out though so he was satisfied.
Plus we got to meet with Tim himself at PAXeast 2014! We were all freaking out like a buncha nerds but he really loved our work! It was so awesome.
A lot of love and work went into these and I hope we get to wear them again!
In short, I'm able to check one more dream costume off the list.

I am so in love with your costumes, I've been wanting to do the same thing for ages but the prospect of blue paint on my skin has kind of been scaring me off from it. I'm really happy to know it can be done so dang successfully.
You guys look completely fantastic and I'm so happy to see someone cosplay Ophelia and Doviculus. Both of you look perfect and translate the character's designs so perfectly here. Awesome work you two!

I was nervous too but just try different products until you find one that works for you! I used Ben Nye Creme Liners, topped with setting powder and final seal spray. It held up pretty well and was much easier than I thought it would be.
