I so adore this picture and am in love the composition of this piece. I love her fringe that seems to frame the top section of the image. I look at her eye and then glance across to the ball in wonder, is if trying to image what it is like to be in her fairy land. This would have been a really hard picture to focus on. The tones are great also, beautiful picture and most certainly a favourite for me

Oh yeah... it was tough to focus... it's a funny thing though & i've pondered this before... this image is my second most faved... which I find interesting since it's "techinically" not perfect... it leads me to believe that technique is second to actual creativity... which should be obvious... but I don't know about you, but I spend soooo much time obsessing over technique...

It's nice... that the image itself is what people truly see...

Yeah... I wonder what it's like in her fairyland too. Thanx so much. I appreciate your thoughts as always.

Well shot! I like how both the interior of the snow globe and your faceare in focus. That reflection is a bit distracing but its far from ruined!! great shot!!

great shot
excellently composed too
i love how she looks almost evil.. and thats contrasted with the utopia in the globe..
its like a shell to protect the inside from her
excellent shot though i might increase the contrast in the globe a bit if i was you

I agree with tophattedtragedy.
Color would ruin it. Unless maybe a very subtle monochrome.
I like that your model isn't looking directly at the globe.

I don't think the flash ruins the picture at all, I kind of enjoy it. As has been said already, I'd just look for a sharper image, but I really like this shot. Nice pic!

Very nice job. Good choice to have it in b&w, otherwise it would have lost its magic..

I really like how her right eye pops out once you notice it, i was looking at it for a while before it poped out. excellent photo, just try and concentrate on shaper images.

Yeah.. i plan on retaking this one with focus in mind... I liked it too much not to post... plus i try to post my flawed stuff, so i can look back on it & see how I've evolved. Anyhow... new cam... been giving me a bit of problem focusing... but working on it. Thanx for the thoughts.

try manual focus, im in yearbook and we have canon 10D's and one 100-300 meter crappy lense, so latley when im out there shooting sports in bad lighting i have to use manual focus.

i actully like the lamp reflection, lol! ^_^
it gives it that real "neverland-ish" look, in fact! you know, shiney and happy...sorta..
ok, this is gotta be the stupidest comment you have ever gotten....-_-'

The lamp reflection could be distracting, unless you open your mind a bit and think of what it could be. The title of the piece is Neverland, and the reflection just makes me think of Tinkerbell and the children flying off to Neverland. It works, in its own way. The focus, as someone mentioned above, is a little strange as its not on any major focal point in the image. Regardless, I like the depth in the picture and the ominous eye peering past the glass ball. Excellent work.

The focusing on this one was a definite pain... i think a mixture of the glass & the light was throwing me off a bit, but i loved it too much not to use it. Thanx so much for the comments. I'm off to your gallery now.

I love this! Though, I am no so sure whether or not I'd go with a black border on it. Also, te way this shot is focused throws me off a little. But nothing big, wonderful.

i ADORE this shot
the angle and composition is so intriguing
i also love the face peering out behind the looking glass- or shakey ball thing- sorry don't know the right term
very interesting pic becuase it seems to make the viewer have questions about it
i always love conceptual pieces and i think this is a perfect example
it is too bad about the lamp reflection but to be honest, it wasn't the first thing i saw, and it didn't dimish my feelings about the pic

clever and well done. The lamp reflection is a little distracting, but it doesn't ruin anything.
