I know what you mean.... I have about... 10 sidestories.... but most of them are based on Essence of Time (sequels as for example Enwa Quest) but I try to stay with my mainstory

girl being torn between good and evil
evil tricking her against the good guy for a while
being under captivity
being on the run for a while
being "caught" again
dramatic ending.

Well.... I dunno why but half-bloods have a strong role in most of my stories.... Ledah is a halfblood, my main Deamond is a halfblood.... xD Dunno why I love them so... but each of my stories is different..... my mainfocus is the relation between the characters. The story isnt THAT important for me

it's more interesting when the main character isn't especially famous or pure blood or whatever, because then the reader wants them to win more because they have "less chance"
