Oh my god, this looks so cool. I love her design and... well... I really like it alot. She's right up my alley. She's different, she's got attitude, you took well in the creation of her wings, they look marvelous. Her feet stand out, I love them, I simply wish I would've thought of them myself. I await the completion of this doll o' yours.
I'm so very flattered also that you'd do it in light of what I said to you. And now I really wonder what you were waiting for, you're putting me to shame here.

Well if it exists, there's a cliche for it, so I'm not suprised even if I've never heard it before.
It almost destroyed me because I saw that DA lacked much of what a community like this needs. I way only shamed by what I saw around me, it felt competitive it felt like there wasn't enough of a deeper liking beyond the popular or the sexually oriented. Not to mention the fact that here I actually felt creatively restricted. Everytime I came on I only saw the things that were wrong. Almost no support from anybody but one, no helpful, insightful, let alone inspiring commentary. It was baron for me here, but maybe there's hope... as long as I really just don't give a pleaing fuck what others think. The only reason I'm back is because that's my driving ideal as it should've been back when I started.
... yea that's a bit of a ramble, but that's pretty much why.

Hm.... Ya, its true what you say, but a self-confident artist should (just as you said ^^) give a fuck on what others think as long as you are pleased with your own work! There are artist arround that have really great art! Unforunally many of them are not seen at all.... wait, I can give you a link to some of my friends! ^_^ Their gallerys are really cool!!

Maybe so, but one can only listen to others so much. Besides, I'm not a self-confident artist and if I ever cared too much about everybody else then I'd be too busy pleasing everybody but myself. It doesn't mean I don't listen, it only means that there's a line I won't cross for others.
As far as those deviants go, I've seen em' and they are very good. But I don't know if they can keep my interest, or whether I can even mingle with them. You see for me I need to have either a great interest in their work or there has to be a possibility for mutual interest. Otherwise it doesn't work for me, though I do appreciate it.
It's a common sight though, plenty of great artists get squat pageviews, let alone commentary, and that's another thing I really hate about this place.
