I simply adore the Disney "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow": the characters, the animation, the headless horseman...<3 and is obvious how this movie has been a base on which they have built the structure of Beauty and the Beast.I love the animation of Katrina Van Tassel particularly, making her so softy and beauty, even if a little snobby at the beginning, but it's really satisfying to see her married with Brom Bones, finally a "bad one" I like that wins, even if he's not exactly the bad one.
Anyway, as Gaston is Van Brunt, no question, I thought:
What if Katrina Van Tassel would have come to the small provincial town, instead of Belle? Surely she would have matched perfectly with the town hero!
And that's it: I took a screenshot of Gaston song, edited and drew my version of a dance between the two most beautiful and prosperous couple in town.
[annoying infos: this match could be possible, cause both stories are set in a similar period: Sleepy Hollow in 1790 and Beauty and the Beast, hypothetically, between second half 1700 and 1800]

This is incredible. Your image looks absolutely convincing -- as if it were a bona fide still from an authentic Disney film.
I think that Gaston and Katrina look terrific together. And I'm delighted to hear your positive appraisal of Katrina. I consider her to be Disney's most beautiful and interesting female lead character -- more truly a princess than most of the official princesses, and the only one who is soft and full-figured (though her corset hides it -- I wonder what her figure would look like without the corset).
I hope you consider doing further deviations involving Katrina. You have a gift.

You think they would be terrific togheter? Maybe...but could you imagine the fun? Fight each other to assure who's the most beautiful in town: she, always jealous of other women glances on her man and he, possessive alpha male, who assists of man with heart-shaped eyes looking at her wife on the street?
I always thought that Katrina was a silly, shallow girl who've been won by Brom only because Ichabod disappeared (and that's horrible). But then I started to thinking that maybe, even if early annoyed by the rowdy town hero, she revealed a feeling for him. Not openly in love from the beginning, but a game of who's the most influent, who has more power to choose. And in this way she choose Ichabod as a bait, giving him love-eye in front of Bones and winding him up during the dance.
She was a kind of a prize for all men in town, rich and wealthy and would be a waste to merry the first contendent: why not playing to be conquered from the man she admire?
After all that, I'm surely planning other drawings involving Sleepy Hollow/BATB original character, it's only question of time.
