I just want to say Near is my favorite character from DN, because he is most like me out of the DN cast. And... He's slightly less eccentric than L, in my opinion.

No, i was so gutted when they killed L, i mean comeon its just so weird they killed of the main character (or at least one of them) wtf.

he was a sacrifice for justice. the whole messiah symbolism in the last day of his life... i don't like it either, but as literature it works.

i also felt like N was too much designed as a replacement for L and not so much as a character in and of himself. but considering all that, i sort of like him.
