I honestly don't know why people say one version's great while the other one sucks.I think both shows are awesome.
My one complaint about PPGZ is that it was never brought to the states, yet an English dub WAS made.
C'mon Cartoon Network, quit holding out on us!

I actually enjoyed PPGZ (then again I do like CN AUs like Fusionfall etc, so I was ok with some changes)
While I'm kinda sad the girls were no longer sisters, I liked how they gave some of the villains more interesting backstories (Sedusa being the alter ego of shy girl Sakurako and the Gangreen Gang having families were my fave changes).Β

Yeah, ran for 52 episodes in 2006.
Its reception is mixed among fans of the original series, as it makes a LOT of changes to the source material.

I Prefer The Anime the Most! I Actually Like The English Dubs Too, Because Bubbles' Anime English Voice was Much more Better than Her Original 1998 One. And I Get Too Upset Whenever I See Hate Art Out of PPGZ. ;-;

I feel the same for any hate art of stuff I like. I don't care if people don't like what I like, but they could do much more productive things with their time than juvenile stuff like that.

I like PPGZ. I just never seem to like PPG the same way. I guess it's my conscience saying that the anime is better than the cartoon.

I agree both shows are awesome, but I have to say the English dub of PPGZ sucked. They literally changed everything, including some of the animation. But the original Japanese version was amazing!

i tried to like ppgz but i hdte that they go from awsome super powers to really dum toy wepons and cant fly and stuf without there dum outfits. they why 90% of the ppg fans hate the anime version.

PPGZ is an anime based on Powerpuff Girls, but with some major changes made, such as the girls not being sisters, their superhero identities being a secret, and the origins of some of the villains are different.

I just don't like how PPGZ ruined the characters. I mean, THEY'RE SUPPOSED TO BE SISTERS, and his name is ACE COPULAR, NOT BOBBY GREEN.

Yeah, I agree that they did make questionable changes, but I also like some of the additions they made, like the 3 forms of DyNaMo, and how they actually defeat Him once and for all.

what dub did you watch the Japanese or the English because the Japanese dub is way better the English dub censors out too many things, have annoying voices, terrible music and they changed snake into a girl his was a guy in the Japanese dub .

I love both shows, but I think Buttercup in PPGZ form is better because I LOVE her hair, personality, and she's more tomboyish to me.
