Originally just two struggling plumbers from Brooklyn, NY (no thanks to those confounded Scapelli's), these men would end up traveling to a parallel dimension, winding up in the chaotic city of Dinohattan on a mission to rescue the lovely Daisy, who turns out to be its beloved Princess, from the clutches of the dreaded Koopa, who is dead set on using her for his plan of merging the dimensions and wiping out the entire human race.Ladies and Gentlemen, the Super Mario Bros.
I'm probably going to get a lot of backlash from the avid haters for this, but I legitimately like the Super Mario Bros. movie.
It's nowhere near a cinematic masterpiece, don't get me wrong, but for what it was I honestly think it's an enjoyable film. In fact, my VHS copy of it is the very first thing that I've ever actually bought with my own money.
Funny trivia: because of this movie I even call the Super Scopes in Smash Bros "Devo Guns" whenever I use them. XD
Also I can't be the only one who'd like to see movie costumes for Mario & Luigi put into Super Mario Maker at some point.

I remember someone made a fan edit splicing more game sounds into the film, cutting out scenes they felt were not necessary, and switched some around for the sake of pacing, namely having the scene with Daisy's mother in the beginning being a flashback rather than the opening.

i liked the movie too what i don't get is why all the hate for it all the elements from the game were there just re worked for the movie, lets be serious i think its better this way would we really be happy with bob hoskins & john leguizamo going its'a me mario & luigi in a brightly colored land all through the movie.Β
