Description Basic
This is a piece I've started working on quite a while ago, and rather forgot about it, but the recent events of Norway fueled me to go ahead and finish it. Full vector, CDR and PS working together, sorry, still don't like Ilu. Fonts are Molot and Bombardier. Really neat how a grenade heads look like bird heads, in profile.

Idea
I've named this "Flying thoughts", since flying is an expression of freedom. I've also went for colours that are significant for the act of flying. I used a light gray for for the sky. Initially wanted to use blue, but that wasn't exactly what I needed. Light grey means rain is coming. And rain can be nourish crops or swell rivers and take houses away. I'm talking about freedom of thought, a really gray area of human rights. I am allowed to think anything I want. All fine and dandy, while I think of pink unicorns and cup-cakes. But what if I think of hatred and bullets? Used a white grenade and a dark gray bird, because, sometimes, it's not the thought that was bad, but the fact that you were free to have it. In other situations it's the other way around. Wouldn't it be ironic if I said I hate hippies that advocate freedom in every way, since I enjoy the freedom to hate them?

Questions
I think we've all red about the terror attack of Norway and how a man that was free to hate, decided to gun down innocents. So, I ask – what was wrong – the thought, or the freedom to have it? Is it wrong to hate or is it wrong to be free to hate? You can have kevlar against bullets, what do you use against hate?

I hereby grant my clubs permission to post this in their galleries.

It looks like a poster for Airsoft games! Or a faction.
