Zero was origionaly a maveric built by Dr. Wily. But one day Sigma (who was a good guy at the time) faught and defeated Zero. This caused Sigma to get infected with Zero's virus and caused Sigma to go bad.... so uh.. to answer your question, yes Zero was a maveric befor he became good. *walks away feeling like a loser for knowing soo much about megama stuff hahah*
