Alright, so this is for *Black-Wing24 's contest
Most warriors fight to protect their homes right?
I chose to draw Nivis, the dragon that lives in the snowy mountain tops
He wasnt my first choice, but after I had started my original choice, I decided to show my fiance the dragons to choose from and he INSISTED that I draw a man battling Nivis, so I started over lol
Anyways, Nivis is about to blast this poor warrior guy with a shot of his white fire
Now I realize Nivis is supposed to be the elegant calm dragon, but it also "if he happened to get angry, storms will rome till he is calm ones again."
Anyways, I'm sure i forgot something on him, but I did most of it from memory, so yea, spent like a week (maybe a little less) on this, but I like how it turned out.

very interesting to go by memory and also to have made the image so dark.

but i must say: i would not advise to draw by Memory, (it can easily fool an artist!)
to draw by memory it require great focus and the problem is when you are focus in one or two forms you can easily forget all the other forms and details that the character have, and sadly you have done so here.
Nivis: have 4 horns and have a really furry under jaw
he has feathers that starts from his shoulders and further back along his back. he have then 4 long spicks thats appear on his back.
( you still got time to re-update and add some detail to this image, and if you do, then have a good look on Nivis before)
i see that you wanted him to be in rage mode so storms will rome, but i can barley see him, he disappear in the storm clouds

the clouds is very blurry so i send this link's to help you out a bit
wats also important like you said that you used a reference on the man, is to have a link to where you find it.
what you could do is to work with lights in this image.
After all Nivis is using his White Flames, its good to make it shine
and make the eye glow a bit to give it more life,
don't be afraid to go crazy with light and detail. the more you put in the more you will gain in the future.
well thats all i guess. even if you haven't draw dragons that much i must honor you for tying, and working without stoping^^
