kinda wonder though, how come you went for gray background?

Ahhh this is all down to lighting... or lack of it. It was a darkish room and I'd switched my flash lights off. So this was taken with my camera flash and the settings on the camera. So the WHITE background became a dark grey
It's different and I think that's why I like it. Also this is the closest I've got to the actual colour of the flower
