Poor Melyna did not deserve to be reminded of her loss. Still, Bela did not choose her moments without purpose. Never a mother herself, she supposed that reminders out of the way quickly meant faster healing. Better to offer it now than to sneak up on the brown wolf when the scars were freshly healed and primed for reopening.
