Really good attempt. Almost works. Just one problem: the layer that is placed on the image looks too "placed" on the photo. My advice is to blur the edges abit so as to make it look more part of the image.

not bad, however i think you should look into the use of textures rather than brushes - in order to advance through dark-art. Nice effect on the eyes though
