Nope not at all. I fell asleep during the process. My tattoo artist has a light hand and I also have a decent pain tolerance.

Oh, okay. If I ever get one, I will take a heavy sleep drug or something.

Ouch, man, that had to hurt like hell >.<
Well, I wouldn't get a tattoo of a face or a person, not even Loki's, but hey, it's up to each person what they choose to put in their skin, right? I have a giant snowflake on the back of my shoulder, after all xD Anyway, I really hope you tell your tattoo artist the great work he's done with your arm: the details, proportions, shadings and expression are just pure art. Maybe the important part about this tattoo is not what is tattooed, but the way it's done. And of course, your guts to suffer the process xD

I am debating on getting another loki tattoo. Though this time with him wearing his helmet.

Haters gonna hate.
I think it is a great tattoo and the detail is amazing.
Realistic tattoos can go so horribly wrong but this is great!
In my opinion it's to oneself if you need a reason behind it.
I do need a reason and my Loki runes do have a reason xD
but anyway, great artwork <3

I am reading the some of the hate comments and I just have to roll my eyes, if you enjoy something enough to get it tattooed on your person then obviously it has a meaning to the person. Not all tattoos have a deep cryptic meaning and they don't have to either! Anyway, I condone you for your choice of ink and think it beautiful the artist did a wonderful job especially with all the detail. Awesome stuff!

Thank you so much. I find it hilarious that I have posted this photo on all my social sites Twitter, Facebook, tumblr and the tattoo artist posted it on his Instagram and all comments were positive. Not one person made any mention on the choice of the piece. Though this website was the first time I gotten such comments. A art website none the less. Though those comments don't bother me at all. Actually they bring a smile to my face.

Good, just kill them with kindness or just silence, I always feel that drives the trolls nuts~

pffff people get superhero/movie/video game/band tattoos all the time, enjoying something enough to get a tattoo of it obviously means its meaningful to the person, although i personally dont think meaning is necessary for tattoos, sometimes things can just look cool to look cool lmao
anyway, i've seen some really poorly done loki tattoos, especially realistic-human ones, but this looks really nice, he did a great job!! and props to you for being brave enough to ask for something so detailed lol!!

Thank you. John is an amazing artist even his drawings and paintings are spectacular. I don't see a lot of Loki tattoos the one I have seen are cute chibi versions.

there's a loki fanpage on facebook that has a photo album full of loki tattoos and there were a lot of realistic-portrait ones that did not turn out well at all lmao

Nope, no meaning behind it what so ever. I tried thinking of meaningful tattoos and I came up with nothing. So I just want one sleeve with stuff that I really like.

haha seriously....just a perty picture for your arm eh. Tattos or for meaning and if they have none it truly reveals the person wearing it as a bandwagoner who just does things because they think it is cool not because it has meaning and they wanna wear it proudly on their body for those to see. I have many tats....my last name because I am proud of my family and irish canadien piece because I am proud of my background and black sheep tatto because I am proud to be the type to make my own path and stick out from the crowd and be myself a cross and banner for my gradparents because one is dead and the two of them saved my life and am proud to have a memorial to them on my chest and over my heart and finally a tribal skull on my shoulder because my boy needed someone to do his first tat on and I am proud to be there for my friends when they need me.
Oh well some people have meaning and others have perty pictures
