Makoto. Sailor Jupiter, is not one of my favorite, but then again she is not to many. However, I want to consider the fact that she uses lightning to attack and that in itself is quite likable, in my opinion.

In order to make this character true to her character from the show, with only illustration, I needed to make her taller than Rei. However if I had her stand tall, then she would be out of the frame. So I had her open her legs considerably wide. That way he will be shorter and therefore fit inside the frame. I've got a plan to highlight the first letter of their planetary name on each of their skirt, so naturally her skirt reflects "J". I wish to keep this constant for the rest of the Sailor Senshi.

I sketched the figure roughly on paper and digitally revised it. Everything was rather similar to Rei except the staff Makot carries. I created a lightning effects over the staff using the smear tool. There was real difficulty establishing her face. It initially looked somewhat British, but that was because I drew her right side to be a bit bloated. It was not easily noticed but when I flipped the image horizontally it was clear that her face was not symmetrical. After the revision her face became smaller but retained the deep eye sockets, which I had originally planned for her.
