that city on the bottom... those are huge fookin roads! seriously!
if you look at the planet earth, only the great wall of china is visible as a structure.
something you might want to consider on planets where the light is coming from behind are those photos of the world at night, with the lights that show where the urban areas are... like this: [link] or [link]
I think that would make for a killer dark side of the planet detail.
another question: how big of an colliding object would it take for a planet's surface to ripple like liquid?

The roads... I have slapped myself 100 times for making them. I dont think anyone else who has seen the pic has thought about it (except you, and me) but you are right, roads wouldn't show. When I made it, i thought about other planets I have seen with citylights (photoshop-made), but came to think about it after I was finished.
Nice urban areas lights. Thanks for the tip.
Answer: Pretty big I suppose. That trail thingy on the small planet kinda looks weird... but the idea was that the planet like thingy was the thing moving fast, not something moving against the planet... if you see what I mean.

Thanks.
The ships...well they're becoming a clichΓ© (or something like that), but other than that, I think they add something to the piece, maybe a feeling of life.

I know. For some reason, I never get many views and favs at the time, though I believe I'm improving...
I had much more comments and views on my first pieces, which sucked... now all the big ones gets them..I think.

Thanks for the comment!
I know about the "lines", that is some layer bugs which I have now fixed.
I am not sure what you mean about I missed some blending?

Thank you.
The ships are made in photoshop. I drawed the shape with a gray colour (about twice as big size as you see here) , and used dodge and burn tool + smudge and sharpen tool to shape it (in 200% zoom).
