Outlaw left us today... very sad day for ISI...He died of severe colic at age 8. This colic has been going on for months now and he hasn't had a good recovery. It all started off with one severe reaction and his stomach was weak from that point on. The staff has been keeping an eye on him but they all knew that sooner or later, he was going to pass.
He was a great dressage stallion. Even though his career had been short, he definitely made an impact on the other horses, especially the ones he grew up with; ISI On The Rocks and ISI Tazmanian Devil.
He will be greatly missed... RIP ISI Royal Pain

Outlaw lay beneath the large tree as the wind made it sway back and forth. The light glistened through the holes in the tree, dancing around the stallion. His breaths were shallow and long, struggling to get oxygen. Occasionally, he wold look at his belly, wondering why this was happening to him. It hurt. The humans were taking care of him, feeding him the nasty paste that eventually made him feel better. It was reassuring to know that they cared for him in his weakest moments.
He listened to the horses in the other pastures, nickering and munching on grass, completely healthy. The occasional car would go by, shaking the trees. His ears twitched back and forth at the sounds of the farm. The birds chirping overhead calmed his stomach for a little while...
He finally lay all the way down, the grass tickling his ears. His mind went clear as he gently closed his eyes. Little did he know that he would never open them again...

This is a hauntingly beautiful piece of art and story. I feel so sad which is the mark of a great of a great artist in my mind.
