10:30pm, technically it's not late! I'm certain the prompt was referring to a particular kind of look if you layer your watercolors correctly, but I had initially planned to take it very literal and draw a jar full of fireflies. When the time came to paint though, I was REALLY feeling a skull in a jar, and having painted a skull in a jar, I'm thrilled with how it turned out. I tried to push my contrast more, and get a bit bolder with layering colors over each other. Added the lineart after I painted because I wasn't sure if I was going to add any at all. Glad I did though, really makes it pop!
