I've never done a gryphon on DA before.
But I actually am very pleased with this. I just wish I could have found my camera, it looks, and I mean it so much, better in person. The colors are absolutly vivid, I don't think I've ever been able to manage it quite so well.This is a very heartfelt gift to *Blood-Phoenix whose name I adore and whose art is gorgous. I just hope you like it, I put in three days and many hours into it. This is actually her.....well I am not sure term, but we call "feathersona" (?) for now, and her name is also Blood Phoenix. I apologize, the beak looks different and my feathers bomb big time-o.^^

Done on 9" by 11" Bristol and it took up the whole sheet!

Very nice, very nice, your coloring is very smooth and even, i'm impressed.
You do need to work on the legs though. The forelegs look very disjointed transistioning from the feathers to the scales. Do you draw a base sketch under your style, you know, like the circles and stuff? If you don't, i highly advise you do, as it really helps to get posistions right.
you've improved greatly on the fur/feathers, but the back legs are very oddly posed. The feet are different lenghts and the one pulled up is far too long. If you are going for a feline form I assume.
As well I think it would be hard for anything to pulll its foot into such a tight position.
So... just try the circles thing if you already don't and work on the width of the body.
Overall, it is great though, really great

Thank you so much, I thought so myself, but that's kinda how it played out when I colored it. As for the front legs, I've never done the feather-to-scale thing before, so it was awkward to say the least.^^
Again, as I always say, I will do my very best to apply everything you said, it helps a great deal.

Just a bit of advice for the Scale to feather thing. Draw the leg underneath it first so that the width is completely even. I would be a tad but thicker with the fur/feathers part. The puff is okay, but the widths are off.
