The birthplace of the Auskerne sisters, the Falls was a bustling, thriving community of families, friends and neighbors who looked out for one another and enjoyed an uncommon prosperity for the region. Most believe this has to do with the focus of the majority of the townsfolk. There were a disproportionate number of ornithologists in Alder Falls. Many homes kept small aviaries which held a variety of birds, not as pets but as revered family members. The town was also home to a large aviary, where strange and secret activities were said to have taken place. Very little is known about the citizens' interest in the avian world, but many believe this relationship, whatever it was, brought good luck and fortune to the Falls.

The good fortune ran out though, in the Spring of 1981 as every single person in Alder Falls inexplicably vanished without a trace, seemingly overnight. Without anyone to tend it, the village was quickly reclaimed by nature. The signs and sounds of the wild returned to the Falls, though no birdsong filled the newly-consumed lands... The birds had all gone missing too.

Rumors abounded about a family of survivors, sisters that were said to have been spared the mysterious disappearance. The source of the rumors is not known and all that remains are urban legends surrounding the Auskerne sisters. They, like the rest of the villagers, were never seen again.
