Shudu Lake

In the North of Yunnan lies the town of Zhongdian which has since been renamed 'Shangrila' to reflect the lore of fictional paradise (or more cynically, to enhance tourism) .
Potatso National Park is located 30 minutes from this city and is best known for it's alpine mountains and lakes. Shudu lake and Bitahai are the two lakes on a one way circuit around the park that has strangely 0% flexibility in travelling arrangements. When we arrived here, thankfully the heavy mist meant that all of the other tourists simply walked past while Marianne and I watched for the moment when mist lifted like this.
