“Alright everyone, great work for today!” Your manager declared as he slapped the cash register shut, evidently satisfied by today’s works. “I’ll see you all tomorrow!”

Letting out a sigh in relief, you watched as your fellow part time co-workers left the shop one by one out of the front door. Today’s work shift has been rather uneventful with nothing of interest occurring but, in all honesty, you don’t mind it at all. With all the things that have happened this past few days since you first took this part-time job, you sort of needed a calm day like this.

Once everyone was gone except for you and the manager who was still pre-occupied with calculating the shop’s profit for the day, you grabbed hold of your knapsack, slung it over your shoulder and left the premise.

“And last but not least, here’s our lucky boy.”

Halting in your steps, you took a brief moment to glance in the direction of the voice to see a certain female leaning on the wall just beside the shop you worked at. Dressed in a generally casual clothing consisting of a camo jacket over her black tank top, a pair of non-prescription glasses adorning her sparkling blue eyes and a pair of denim short shorts, you would’ve had a relatively hard time recognizing who she was if it weren’t for her crimson-and-yellow locks of hair.

Unfazed by the confusion on your face, Sunset Shimmer took her time blowing her bubble gum one more time before letting it pop and resume chewing it once more. You asked her how long she had been standing there.

“How long have I been here, you asked? Not too long, I just arrived here a couple of minutes ago from Sugarcube Corner.” Now walking besides you, she smiled and proceeds on intertwining her hand with yours, prompting you to respond likewise by tightening the grip. “So how was your day?”

You can’t help but smile in return. While you were pretty sure your day wasn’t interesting enough to be told as a story for the day, you figured it wouldn’t hurt to tell it anyway.
