Let me start by saying that my pics of her don't capture as much as I'd have liked them to - no matter which angle or how I tried, I just could NOT get a decent shot inside her mask.

Soooo BC mentioned that she didn't mind twisted or disturbed and that she loved the death traps from movies like Saw. How could I resist??
Amanda (named after a character from the Saw movies - she is the character who has most recurring roles in the series) was my take on a death trap pony ^.^
Amanda's death trap is pretty simple - move and the mask slams shut. Inside both halves of the mask are metal spikes, ready to pierce poor Amanda's face. 2 of her legs are wired to the trap - one at the front, one at the back.

She was reposed in several places - the front leg on her DS side, her rear NDS leg and a slight 'repose' on her mouth to give her that sad look.
Her harness is completely hand sewn from burgandy leather, with steel coloured o-rings and hand made buckles. I then added the loops and threaded the wire through the whole thing. Its all permanently attached.
The masks are sculpted from apoxy sculpt and lined with hundreds of tiny little wire spikes. The whole thing was done so it looks like its cut and welded from individual plates of steel.
Body and gradients were airbrushed while her eyes and masks are handpainted (I was trying to make them look all wide and scared) all using artist grade acrylics.
Sealed with dullcote, triple thick on the eyes and all metal look parts (inclusing the spike holding her rear DS leg in place)
Rehaired with black saran from Restore doll. Hair is sewn and pinned in place and gave me some headaches - especially when I realised it was totally going to interfere with the masks.
Base was given a grey concrete look, and the whole pony is permanently attached to it - little monster wouldn't stand on her own so the base is necessary. I then put felt across the bottom so it is safe to display on any surface without worrying about scratching.

Supplies list for this creepy lady include Magic sculpt for all sculpted parts, springs, guitar strings, burgandy leather, several different sizes of wire, chain, various o-rings, screws, felt, pins, needles and thread, paint, hair and lots of swearing during construction.

I am incredibly satisfied with how she turned out - she matches my initial concept really well. That said, I was reluctant to make her - I needed to be nudged by Jupi a few times to do her. I seriously felt like she was crossing a line - she is completely creepy and the subject matter is one which I thought people would be very freaked out by.
Buut BlackCurtains assures me she loves her, so YAY!! ^.^
