I use to take similiar shots of bottles and glasses and stuff. it can turn out really cool, and it looks very abstract. I think this is a very good shot, the colors and the composition is very good - but most of it all I like the focus. very good.

thanks for the nice comments. this was in a hotel room, i became almost hypnotised with the bottle, i must have been standing over that thing for an hour taking various compositional shots with varied factors. I took many shots with the cork at the bottom in focus, but I preferred to actually 'see' the bottle and the way it throws the light around. I also tried putting different objects next to the bottle hoping that the flash would inject some of that colour into the picture (as in this picture, the blue is the hotel brochure!)
