Derelict chapel in Italy, shot during a two-week roadtrip around the country in 2013 where we camped and slept in abandoned buildings. Good times
If you're wondering about the light rays, they're real as real can be. The strong direct sunlight really highlighted the haze and dust that was kicked up and floating around in the air in there. I love it when that happens!
I should really upload photos more often.

Those lightrays are amazing. They really add to the scene. There is an element of life in those light beams that would be missing among the debris and diluted colors. The scene itself is fascinating, all the alcoves, the columns. It is all very romantic.

Perhaps, it is more a House of God now than before; instead of a place for the wealthy and elite, it is now a place for the humble and meek to rest. There is a definite taste of irony somewhere in there.
