me at 2.30 am posting a page because I AM UNHINGED

I had a very difficult day at uni with a whole buncha assignments over the weekend so I'm not completely In Order but!!!! I wanted to get this posted anyways so that I can move on with a light heart on Saturday, when I'll scan the pages from the first chapter and hopefully translate them!!! unless I get caught up with assignments again, Which Is a Possibility

anyway a short yet sweet end to a chapter that taught me quite a bit! needless to say, experimentation will continue for as long as I keep this project going, because what is art but a neverending experiment, but by now, I think I'm more aware of the vibes I want to be going for? and the techniques I need to improve on to reach that vision? I think I should look into using crayons and dry media more to create more texture. be more attentive about the usage of light and dark tones and the weight of inkwash in general. just how do the masters make such impeccable layering with this technique?? I also reviewed the art references and inspirations I've gathered here on dA and on tumblr over the years and... it's really useful coming back to your inspirations sometimes because you can clearly see what you should be doing differently. I have so much to improve on. sometimes I think I'll never reach the level of my inspirations but... maybe there's no need. I'll just pat my own head and improve at my own pace!

also cars. for a person that doesn't like drawing cars I sure have a lot in my story AWHSERSERSER
