(Team Escapade)

“This way, guys!” A pikachu cried. He motioned with his hand and pointed toward a hole in the side of the cliff. “I’ve found an opening!”

The pikachu grinned as his three friends came running over: a riolu, an eevee, and a minccino. All four of the pokemon were decked out in adventuring gear.

“Is this the cave mouth from the scroll?” The riolu asked as he looked it over.

“Looks like it, Ricky.” The eevee declared. “Let’s find that treasure!”

“Hold up, guys.” The minccino said. She held a paw up to her ear and grimaced. “I think I can hear something inside. We should be careful.”

“When are we ever NOT careful?” The pikachu asked.

The four pokemon were part of a group that they called Team Escapade. They were adventurers, and loved scouring the four corners of the pokemon world. The group was rather small: the four of them made up most of the members. Paul the pikachu, Ricky the riolu, Evan the eevee, and Mina the minccino. But they hoped to expand their numbers as time went on.

The four pokemon traveled together as they ventured deep into the cave. They looked all around at the stone walls; there was no telling how many years had passed to erode the rock interior into this shape. And with the way the stalactites and stalagmites sprouted around, it almost resembled the mouth of a giant predator. Ricky shivered; he wasn’t used to being around something that resembled fangs that big.

“So, what are we looking for in here again?” Mina asked.

“There’s supposed to be some and mysterious treasure locked deep away in this cave.” Paul said. “The rumor I heard said that this cave belonged to giant pokemon, who would travel in here to keep their treasures hidden from humans.”

“What, you mean like Kyogre and Groudon?” Ricky asked. “This doesn’t seem like the right region that those guys used to live in.”

“No, I don’t think it was them.” The pikachu shook his head. “I’m talking about something ancient… something that ruled the sea and sky alike.”

Mina and Ricky exchanged glances, while Evan ruffled his fur.

“And just what are you hoping to take back to base then, Paul?” He demanded. “If the treasure belonged to giant pokemon, then how are we supposed to carry it?”

Paul grinned. “With one of these…”

He reached into his jacket and produced a round, red-and-white object. The others gasped and stepped back a bit.

“Is that a pokeball?” Ricky asked in amazement. “How’d you get one of those?”

“I know a guy, who knows a guy…” The pikachu chuckled.

“Well watch where you point that thing!” Mina snapped. “I hear that they suck you inside a pocket dimension, where your free will is drained! You become the wielder’s slave for life!”

“Guys, guys… relax.” Paul wagged a finger. “I had Sarah tinker with it; it only works on inanimate objects… I think.”

“You THINK.” Evan declared. “In other news, rocks are soft.”

The others had a slight chuckle, while Paul just grimaced. He put the pokeball away in his jacket and continued down the rocky path.

After a while, the passageway opened up wider and wider, until eventually the pokemon found themselves gazing upon a massive chasm. Team Escapade found themselves standing on a small beach. Cracks in the ceiling allowed sunlight to shine down upon the deep waters that took up the bulk of the chasm floor. Far to the side, it looked like an opening led the way out via the water, until it swerved around a corner and vanished into darkness.

“Is that the way out?” Ricky asked as he walked forward along the sand.

“It looks like this is as far as the cave goes…” Paul grimaced. He looked around and sighed. “Darn it, I’m not seeing any treasure.”

“You don’t think it’s under the water, do you?” Mina frowned at the way the waters swayed steadily in the sunlight. “I can’t breathe underwater.”

“Hmm…” Evan stared intently at the water. “It looks deep, to be sure. But I didn’t bring any deep sea diving equipment.” He stood back and shrugged. “We might have to come back another day, Paul.”

“Darn.” The pikachu sighed. “And I was so looking forward to finding that-“

Something rumbled deep within the water, making everyone gasp. Mina and Ricky huddled together, but Paul stood tall. He put on a brave face as he stepped before them.

“Come on, guys.” The pikachu declared. “Let’s not lose ourselves to fear. We can do this!”

“Yeah, sure…” Mina sighed as she took careful steps. “That’s what you said when we took on that snorlax last month.”

Paul sneered; he let a bit of lightning dance around his red cheeks. He heard several more rumbles in the water, growing louder and louder with every moment…

A great, white hand rose out from the water. The rumbling grew louder than before, and the ground shook harshly. Paul pulled his sword from his scabbard and held it with both hands, ready for a fight. Mina pulled out a pair of daggers and took a steady breath. Ricky put on his gauntlets and pounded a fist against a hand. And finally, Evan held his bow and arrow at the ready. They wouldn’t be scared off; they fight to the very end!

Soon, the head of the creature rose from the waters. It rumbled in its throat as its piercing eyes opened wide. Its jaws parted… and it moaned in pain. The head suddenly fell over onto the ground, shaking the four pokemon so hard that they nearly fell over. Paul struggled to keep his stance as he watched as the giant beast pulled another hand from the water to grasp itself.

“…Oh geez, my head.” It moaned before glancing over at the four adventurers. “Whatever you want, I don’t have anything to steal.”

“Steal?” Paul repeated curiously. The pikachu inched a bit closer to get a better look at the giant. It shifted its head so that it was illuminated by light from the cracks in the ceiling.

Paul gasped. “It’s a lugia!”

“A lugia?!” The eevee and riolu gasped in surprise. The great white pokemon grumbled and grasped its head with both wing-hands.

“Not so loud, not so loud…” He whined. “I’ve got a splitting headache.”

“Wait, what’s a lugia?” Mina asked.

“Lugia is the Guardian of the Seas.” Paul said. “Legends say that lugias sleep on the bottom of the ocean, because their power over the winds is too great.” The pikachu eyed the lugia suspiciously. “What’s one of them doing in a cave?”

“Trying to heal from a headache.” The lugia grumbled as it rubbed its head. “Now if you don’t mind, could you keep it down?”

The great bird rose its head up and held its head in both wing-hands as it lumbered up onto the shore. The four little pokemon had to scoot out of the way from its big feet. The lugia turned around and crashed onto the ground. Its body glowed blue for a bit… but then the light fizzled out, and the lugia whined again.

“Damnit…” He rolled over. “I can’t believe this.”

“Uh… what’s wrong, Mr. Lugia?” Mina asked.

“First of all, the name’s Gregoro.” The lugia snorted. “And second of all… I’ve run out of Power Points.”

“You mean PP?” Ricky asked with a smirk. The lugia cast him an annoyed glance, which made the riolu’s grin falter.

“Okay, okay, let’s not escalate things…” Paul said. He put his sword in his sheath and carefully stepped closer to the lugia. “Listen… Gregoro, was it? We weren’t looking to steal from any legendaries today. We were just exploring the caves for lost relics and such things.”

“Gee, how nice…” Gregoro turned and sat down on the ground, shaking everything again. He winced as he rubbed his head. “I don’t know if anything’s in this cave: I just got here.”

“Right…” Paul scratched his head. “We can help you out with your headache problem, if you come back to our airship.”

The other three little pokemon looked at Paul in surprise. The lugia, however, just raised an eye ridge.

“And why exactly would you want to help me?” He asked. “Do you want something in return?”

“Only that you don’t squish my friends and me.” The pikachu shrugged. The lugia gave a hearty laugh at that… only to wince and rub his head yet again.

“Oof, the longer I dilly-dally, the worse it gets…” He sneered. “Alright, fine. Show me to your airship. We’ll see if your…” He groaned through more pain. “Medicine or what have you works. And if not, I guess I could always just eat you all.”

“Fine by me.” The pikachu said.

Gregoro balked. “Not the response I was expecting.”

~~…~~

On the far side of the island, there sat a small airship. It was Team Escapade’s pristine vessel for traveling around the lands. Currently the only one onboard was their pilot: Sarah the Scorbunny. The rabbit-like pokemon sat in a chair in the cockpit. She was listening to some music on her headphones with one leg over the other. She strummed an invisible guitar while occasionally peering out of the windows to see if her teammates were coming back yet.

One minute she looked up, and saw nothing. The next minute she looked, and saw nothing. The third minute she looked up… and saw a lugia heading straight for her. Sarah yelped and fell backward out of her chair.

“Oh no oh no!” Sarah scrambled for the controls of the airship. She flipped some switches and pushed some buttons until the airship began to rumble.

On the outside, two very large cannons emerged from secret compartments along the bow of the airship. The lugia came to an immediate stop and gasped as the cannons aimed straight for it. Sarah grabbed a microphone and spoke into it angrily.

“Don’t you try anything funny, you big palooka!” She snapped. Sarah used her binoculars to get a better look at the stunned giant. She noticed that it held its wing-arm against its chest… and was carrying her team?

Before Sarah could question any of this, she immediately got a message on her walkie-talkie. She picked it up and curiously held it against her face. “Hello?”

“Don’t shoot!” Paul’s voice yelled from the other end. It came so suddenly that Sarah fumbled with the walkie-talkie for a moment. “He’s friendly!”

“Okay, okay!” Sarah shouted. She fiddled with the controls and had the big guns retract back into the ship. The lugia sighed in relief, only to flinch in pain.

“What’s going on, Boss?” Sarah asked into her device. “That doesn’t look anything like treasure.”

“I’ll explain in person.” Paul said. “Just lower the gangplank so we can all get going.”

~~…~~

The airship traveled briskly through the air as it made its way north. Gregoro sat curled up upon the deck of the ship. He gazed out wistfully at the clouds. The lugia hummed in content… except for moments when his headache flared up again.

All around the lugia, the little pokemon did various tasks throughout the airship. Riolu swept up here, Mina adjusted some ropes there… even Paul did his best as he maintained the airship’s course through the skies. Gregoro was astounded; he’d never seen such technology in all his years; perhaps spending two-hundred years asleep at the bottom of the ocean was responsible for that.

As he thought about this, his head flared with pain yet again. He put his head down on the deck and grumbled. “When are you going to heal me?”

“Hold on a second…” Evan said. He came running up with a white box with a red X on the front. “I’ve got some medicine right here.”

The eevee sat cross-legged beside the lugia’s head as he sifted through the box’s contents. He pulled out a series of spray bottles, the contents of which lugia didn’t recognize. One after another, Evan applied some of the contents upon Gregoro’s head.

“Feeling any better yet?” Evan asked.

“Hmm…” Gregoro put a wing-hand on his now-damp head and rubbed it. He flared his fangs as he winced. “Nope. Not at all.”

“Darn…” The eevee closed the box and frowned. “Sorry, Mr. Gregoro; I just tried one of each kind of medicine we have.”

“Figures…” The lugia groaned as he rubbed his head again. “I guess there’s no point in hanging around here.”

“Hold on a minute.” Paul said. He patted the side of Gregoro’s wing-arm. “There’s still one more method we can try to help you.”

“Oh?” Gregoro glanced at the pikachu. “Does it involve eating you all?”

“Why are you so insistent on eating us?” Mina asked. “What did we do to you?”

“It’s nothing personal.” The lugia snorted. “If you were asleep for two centuries, you’d be hungry on waking up, too.” He rolled over onto his side. “You all seem nice enough, though. Maybe I’ll let you all decide on who goes first.”

Paul exchanged glances with Mina and Evan. The eevee had a knowing smirk.

“Well, before you go around eating us…” The pikachu climbed up onto the lugia’s chest to look him in the eyes. “At least wait until we get back to our home base. There’s one more team member who might be able to help you.”

“Hmph…” The lugia propped his head up with a wing-arm, though winced slightly yet again. “I guess I don’t have anything to lose from waiting. How long until we get there.”

“I’d say an hour or two.” Paul crossed his arms. “Depending on if the weather is nice.”

~~…~~

The weather was anything BUT nice. A severe thunderstorm rumbled across the sky from seemingly out of nowhere. The airship had do swerve all the way toward the east in the hopes of cutting around the dark clouds. And to make matters words, the cracks of lightning made Gregoro’s headache all the worse. That darn pikachu just HAD to open his big mouth.

After hours of flight, the airship finally arrived at the mainland in the middle of the afternoon. There was a small coastal town built beside a beach, complete with a harbor. But the airship flew in an arc around the harbor and made for the mountainside that loomed a quarter of a kilometer away. Gregoro grumbled curiously as he watched from the deck.

“Where are we going?” The lugia asked. “You afraid that I’ll terrorize your little town?”

“Nah, we just don’t dock in the town.” The pikachu shook his head. “That’s not where our base is.”

“Then where is it?” Gregoro demanded.

“You’ll see soon enough…” Paul pointed off toward the mountain. “It’s right over on the other side of Mount Quarz. Just… try not to be too freaked out, okay?”

“And why would I be freaked out?” Gregoro snorted. The little pokemon glanced at each other left and right; clearly they knew something the lugia didn’t.

Sarah had the airship slow down to a brisk pace as it drifted through the air around the side of the mountain. The rest of the crew ran up to the side of the desk to gaze out at Mount Quartz. The lugia scrunched up his face and looked around for anything out of the ordinary…

When he saw it, Gregoro had to do a double-take. It looked like a massive pile of good was curled up in a ball on the far side of Mount Quartz. Before he could ask what it was doing there, the good MOVED. A large head emerged from the top, and a pair of arms spread out on the sides.

Gregoro gasped; that was no pile of good… it was a pokemon. The biggest pokemon he’d ever seen!

The goo-covered pokemon adjusted itself to sit comfortably on the ground. Two long, horn-like appendages extended from its head, alongside two smaller ones. It stretched its arms over its head and gave a surprisingly-soft yawn. It then looked right at the airship and gave a sweet smile.

“Hey…” The pokemon said softly to the airship.

“What in the world is THAT?!” Gregoro exclaimed.

“This is Gertrude.” Paul declared with a wave of his little arm. “She’s our friend… and our headquarters.”

The airship slowed to a stop in the air, while Gertrude sat up and held out her hand. The airship came to a soft landing in her gooey palm, and the goodra slowly brought the airship over to her face. Her eyes were big and innocent, and her smile stretched from ear to ear. All the little pokemon smiled back at her… while the lugia fell back a bit and gazed at her in fear.

Gertrude grimaced at the sight of the fearful legendary. “What’s wrong? Who are you?”

“Arceus help me!” The lugia scrambled for the other side of the airship. He almost took off into flight, only for his headache to cause him to collapse in pain at the worst moment. As he rubbed his head, he looked back at the giant creature in fear… and its oddly empathetic eyes. As Lugia pondered this, the minccino ran to his side and climbed up to his belly.

“Hey, hey. Relax…” Mina said calmly. “She’s not going to hurt you. Gertrude wouldn’t hurt a fly.”

Gregoro looked between the minccino and the goodra incredulously. The giant gooey pokemon gave him a little nod and a wink; the lugia had a feeling the goodra was trying to be cute.

“Hey, Gertrude…” Paul said as he stepped over to the gangplank. “We’re ready to head inside now.”

“Okay…” Gertrude nodded her head and winked. She then carefully opened her maw wide. The lugia watched with an icy chill on his back as the massive pokemon extended her big, pink tongue from her maw and held it before the deck of the airship. Paul smiled as he looked at the tongue; he put his bare foot on the big pink appendage. The pikachu gave a little squeak in delight as he walked forward to venture into the goodra’s maw.

“Wh-What are you doing?” Gregoro exclaimed. He watched incredulously as the riolu and the minccino followed suit.

One by one, the three little pokemon ventured past the goodra’s jaws. Their smiled were wide as they looked around at the big pink interior. Gertrude didn’t have any fangs; it was all gums as far as the lugia could tell. As the three little pokemon arrived at the entrance to the throat, they got down on their rumps and sat down. They held each other’s hands as they carefully scooted forward to slide in. All at once, the three of them went over the edge into the darkness…

GULP

Gertrude exhaled happily as the trio vanished down her throat. Gregoro the lugia was horrified at the sight; scooted back to the edge of the airship and contemplated flying away. But then his headache sprang to life once again, making him fall back and wince in pain. This day just kept getting worse.

“Hey, are you alright, bud?” A voice asked him from behind. Gregoro looked down to see Sarah the Scorbunny standing beside him.

“How can I be alright?!” The lugia demanded. “I just watched three pokemon happily feed themselves to… to…”

“Hey, we let it happen all the time.” Sarah said. “It’s actually very nice in her belly.”

“Yeah…” Evan the eevee walked up to Lugia’s other side. “Come with is in Gertrude. You’ll be fine; I promise.”

Gregoro looked back and forth between the eevee and scorbunny; he couldn’t believe what he was hearing. He also thought back to all the times they took it in stride whenever he threatened to eat one of them himself.

“Since when do prey pokemon not mind being eaten?” Gregoro demanded. He rubbed his head as pain sparked through it once again. “Just what have I missed in the last two-hundred years?”

“Well, maybe we can help you get caught up on world history if you come with us inside Gertrude.” Even said as he tugged on one of Gregoro’s feathery fingers. “Here, I’ll hold onto you the entire time, even.”

“Hmm…” Gregoro grimaced. He looked back at the big face of the goodra; she seemed to almost plead with him with her eyes as she silently waited with her tongue lobbing around. The lugia looked back down at Evan; the little brown furball had a cute face of his own.

“Alright…” The lugia took a breath to calm himself down. “But I am definitely eating one of you before the day is over.”

The lugia rose up onto his big feet and walked forward slowly. Evan still held onto the lugia’s arm, while Sarah skipped around to rush ahead of them. The scorbunny ran at full speed toward the back of Gertrude’s throat and leaped into the air.

“Cannonball!” She yelled with a giggle as she curled up. And down she went into the throat with a little gulp noise. Gregoro leaned his head back at that… but took another break and kept walking forward.

The goodra’s tongue felt rather strange under the lugia’s feet; it was warm and squishy like he expected, and a little wetter than he would have liked. Evan seemed to enjoy it, though; he shut his eyes and sighed happily as he walked forward.

Things got dark as Gregoro reached the back of the throat. He gazed worriedly down into the dark abyss. The slick-coated muscles seemed to ebb and flow in anticipation of the goodra’s next meal. The lugia gulped nervously as he sat down on his rear; he couldn’t believe he was doing this.

“Are you ready?” Evan asked with a smile as he hugged Gregoro’s feather-finger.

“Of course not.” He snapped. “I’m about to feed myself to this… whatever this thing is.”

“I promise you’ll like it down there.” The eevee nodded his head. “Now, just inch yourself forward a bit, and let Gertrude do the rest.”

“Oh Arceus, help me…” The lugia shut his eyes and shivered. He picked the eevee up and held it against his stomach. Evan yelped in surprise at first, but then he spread his arms and hugged Gregoro’s belly; perhaps it was to give him emotional support. With a sigh, the lugia shut his eyes and carefully inched forward….

GULP

Down Gregoro slid into Gertrude’s stomach. He shivered and groaned as the fleshy muscles of the esophagus pressed against him. All the while Gregoro felt Evan hugging him. It made the lugia fill a little better… just a little, though.

After what felt entirely too long, Gregoro’s descent slowed to a stop. He pressed against a layer of good, which shifted around and carefully opened up to contort to his feet and tail. The good opened more and more as it went up to his belly, making Gregoro shudder from the sensations. He wiggled his toes, then his feet, then finally his legs in a massive open chamber. After the good passed over his head, Gregoro screamed…

Only to land with a splash in a layer of water. He broke the surface and scrambled to find a solid surface to climb onto. With luck, his feather-fingers brushed against some kind of wooden surface, which he made a break for immediately.

“Gah!” He gasped for breath as he rolled over onto his back. He coughed up a bit of slime and breathed heavily to calm down.

“Yikes…” Paul’s voice said somewhere nearby. “That was definitely his first time being gobbled up.”

Gregoro carefully sat up and looked around. The pikachu was across the way, on the other end of the wooden platform. Ricky, Mina and Sarah were scattered around the area, seemingly as fine as could be. Further out on that wooden platform was, to Gregoro’s surprise, an entire, furnished building! It looked like half of it was part of an old house, while the other half was the bow of a sailing vessel. The two halves were attached via wooden planks, and a series of railways and staircases led back and forth between the two. Along the bulk of the bow were the words “TEAM ESCAPADE”

“So… this is what you meant when you said the giant creature was your clubhouse…” Lugia said with wide eyes.

“Do you like it?” Evan asked. The lugia looked down to see the eevee rising out of the liquid to splash around on the desk. With a shrug, the lugia reached down and plucked Evan up in his wing-hand.

“I have several questions…” Gregoro said as he stuck his feet back in the liquid and held Evan up. “First of all: Did the goodra eat part of a house and boat?”

“I don’t really know.” The eevee shrugged. “They were in here when Gertrude first ate us.”

“And… you were okay with being eaten?” Gregoro tilted his head. “Why are all of you so okay with that?”

“It’s hard to say, really…” Mina said as she sat down next to the lugia. “It’s just something we kind of all share; we’re fond of being inside bigger pokemon. It’s why we formed an adventuring gang together.”

“Is this going to be one of those long and complicated stories that mortals sometimes liked to tell back in my heyday?” Gregoro raised an eye ridge.

“I guess so.” Paul said with a shrug. “I can try to give the short version of things, if you’d like.”

“You know what? Forget it.” Gregoro shrugged. “Honestly there’s a lot that I need to adjust to in this new era, and frankly I… I…”

The lugia blinked. He rubbed his head and rumbled for a bit. Gregoro gasped, and a smile creased his face.

“Hey, my headache’s gone!” He exclaimed. “How about that?!”

“See? We told you Gertrude could help!” Evan declared. “Now do you believe us?”

“Yeah, I believe you…” The lugia licked his chops. “And I believe it’s about time to have my lunch.”

The eevee’s fur got ruffled as Gregoro brought him up to his big beak. The lugia sniffed Evan’s fur and licked his face. Evan gave a little howl, and his ears wriggled.

“You can eat me if you want…” Evan said. “Just please don’t chew me.”

“Hmm…” Gregoro clicked his tongue. “You’ve all been pretty helpful. I guess it’s only fair that I be gentle with you.”

The lugia opened his maw wide and carefully slid his jaws over Evan’s head. Little by little, the lugia pulled more of the tasty eevee into his maw. Gregoro then shut his eyes and tilted his head skyward to let the little pokemon slide down his throat via gravity. Gregoro moaned in delight; it had been far too long since he’d tasted something so delightful. With a hearty gulp, the lugia sent Evan sliding down his throat. The eevee made a hearty bulge in his heck, which became a little bump on his belly when it reached the bottom.

“Ahh…” Gregoro patted his stomach and belched. “He sure was tasty.”

As the lugia relaxed on the wooden platform, he shut his eyes and listened to the eevee shifting around. Eventually he felt little bumps on the inside of his stomach; the eevee was rubbing the belly walls. Gregoro blushed; he’d never realized how good it felt to have someone rubbing his insides like this.

“Say, that feels pretty good…” He mused.

A few moments later, the lugia realized that the rest of the gang of little pokemon had gathered around him. He looked over to see Ricky climb up onto the rotund part of Gregoro’s stomach to spread out his limbs. The riolu put his hands on Gregoro’s stomach to rub his fingers against it.

“Heh, don’t you have any manners?” Gregoro snorted.

“Err, sorry…” Ricky blushed. “It’s just that I can’t help but like big bellies. And I thought you were inviting.”

“Well I wasn’t at first… but keep on going.” The lugia nodded. He looked around at the other little pokemon. “If the rest of you want to join in, you can.”

“Uh, actually…” Mina stepped closer and scratched her upper arm. “I was wondering if you could… swallow me, too.”

Gregoro’s eyes widened. “I just keep getting surprised by the willingness you all have…” He offered the minccino a hand. “Come on over.”

Mina squeaked happily as she stepped up to the lugia. He gently wrapped his feather-fingers about her body and brought her up to his head. After licking her face a few times, eh parted his jaws and slid them over her face. Bit by bit, the minccino was sent into his throat and down to the belly.

And mina wasn’t the last one; Soon Sarah and Ricky were clamoring around atop Gregoro’s belly, eager to be his next snack. The lugia could hardly believe his eyes; he’d never encountered tiny pokemon so willing for it. And the way the minccino and the eevee were shaking around inside him, rubbing the belly walls and squeaking in delight… it was the most delight he’d ever felt.

The lugia took his time with the other two little pokemon. He nuzzled their heads, licked their faces, and playfully squeezed them in his bit hands. And when they went down his throat, warm flashes spread all throughout his form. Gregoro ran his fingers along his engorged belly and felt the little pokemon as they had a blast curling up inside him.

“This… is the greatest feeling I’ve ever had eating little pokemon.” Gregoro said. He gazed over at Paul, the last one outside of his belly. “Are there other prey pokemon out there like you five?”

“Probably.” The pikachu crossed his arms. He took his sword scabbard off his belt and put it down on the wood. “Some might even been okay with being digested…” he glanced over at Gregoro and chuckled awkwardly. “Say, uh… please don’t digest my friends. We’d be happy to find you more willing meals if you let them out eventually.”

“Oh, you don’t have to worry about me digesting your friends.” Gregoro sighed. “Honestly, you’ve all have been a big help today. While I’m not sure I’m okay with hanging out inside your gargantuan, gooey friend…” He grimaced as some goo fell onto his skin. “I wouldn’t mind having your Team Escapade around. I could use some help getting used to this new era.”

“Well, then how about you JOIN Team Escapade officially?” Paul smiled. “We could use a big guy like you to help us carry things around. And we’ll be happy to share treasure, and anything else you might like.”

“Hmm...” Gregoro grinned. “Not a bad bargain. Just come over here to let me eat you, and we’ll seal the deal.”

“Hold on a moment…” Paul said as he took his jacket off. “I just want to make sure my outfit is safe and-“

A small round object fell out of the pikachu’s jacket. It rolled along the goo and up toward Gregoro’s foot. The lugia leaned his head down to look at it curiously. “What’s-?”

The moment the pokeball tapped Gregoro’s heel, it opened wide and a red beam of energy shot out. The lugia didn’t have time to process this as the red beam spread rapidly across his body and turned his form into similar energy. All of the energy flowed back inside the pokeball, which snapped shut and beeped. Paul watched the orb shake around, his jaw hitting the gooey floor, as it gave a little click and became still.

“Uh… Oops.”

I loved the story... But with how you left it open, it makes me wonder what would come next! Even being a patron I immediately went to check you hadnt posted some other half of it on there, incase it just didnt email me on it.

That's because this was a commission; not something I wrote for patreon. See, when somebody buys a commission story, it's posted in its entirety on my DA... or FA, if it's too NSFW for DA.

That open ending is just that: an open ending.
