Description
The result of a survey made by the Krita foundation over social network reported you were a large majority using my brushkit 8.2.A big thank you about that!
So, I was sponsored by the Krita foundation in March to work on the default brush kit for Krita 4.0 . My mission was to merge my brushkit 8.2, my Charcoal Pencils and wet brushes into a collection of new presets made with feedback of the community and merge also brushes submitted by Ramon Miranda, Wolthera, Pablo Cazorla, Rad, Scott Petrovic, Razvan and other. I triaged them, painted new thumbnails, took care about sorting them, renaming them, optimizing them and polishing the settings. You can read the Git commit here if you want full details.
I am now really happy using them, and happy to share them too!

Just download Krita 4.0 , they are part of it by default.

I donΒ΄t know why but my bundles manager has chrashed theΒ "Krita_4_Default_Resources" file ... where can I download ONLY the resources? I donΒ΄t want to install Krita new and need to make all other settings new only to get this file back!Β Β

That reptile texture brush is probably my favorite. I struggle so much having to do all the scales but with that brush, it makes my life so much easier XD

It took me a bit to figure out some of the new brushes... some stuff I used in the past seemed missing. But I really like the changes now.

I really really love these brushes! I just wish I could've kept some of the ones I had from 3.3 that I used constantly. Gonna have to find a way around it

Isn't there a way to add them back onto your thing? If I remember right, you can just import the brush packet... If not I'm sorry! :')

Krita 4.0 blew my expectations out of the water, a huge part of that was because the brushes where more like Clip Studio and less Corel Painter, great job ! Sadly enough it's still missing a few features I use in Clip otherwise I'd move over in a heartbeat.Β

Uninstall your current version, download and install the new one. I think you might lose your previous brushes (not sure!) but not your files. Hope this helps!
(And if you want to backup your previous brushes, go to yourcomputer/user/youruser/appdata/roaming/krita and copy the brushes file or the krita file.)

I found your brush set shortly after finding out about Krita and trying it out for the first time. Been using Krita for all my art and your brushes as my core brushes ever since.
So great to see them as the defaults now. Thank you so much for making these and thanks Krita people for integrating them.

Haven't tried theseΒ new brushesΒ much yet, but they feel nice so far! My favorite thing about them is probably the way they are organized, it was hard to even find which brushes belonged to the default resources before this update. And I find it nice that a lot of brush presets don't have Instant Preview enabled by default anymore.

I absolutely LOVE your brush sets. So glad to see them included in Krita by default! As much as I love to see Krita's general features expanded, your contributions show the potential of the software. What you display of the usage of each brush you design displays a path towards expressing an idea with little guesswork... Thank you!
