Yo that's a good choice of character, as its also used to imply things that are impassable or uncrossable. That landscape definitely looks hard to navigate through.

Yeah I'm chinese so I learnt it before english
(Though since then my english skills have surpassed those of my chinese)
When people put chinese characters in their art I automatically read it, and sometimes it can be unintentionally hilarious. (Dont worry though, nothing wrong with your usage of the character)
