Thank you so much! I do know that there's a difference between how I see it and how other people see it, especially since I know every single awful stroke I made very personally and I'd rather not but it does mean a lot to me when I hear that other people like it. All I can do is keep trying.
And thanks! He was tons of fun to draw, which is the only thing I'm (periodically) decent at.

Well, I think it looks gorgeous!
I know the feeling though. It's super frustrating when you can't get something right that you've been working at for ages. Easier said than done, but just keep practicing and going at your own pace! You're bound to improve if you don't give up. That's just my advice though. c':
Amazing as always!

Thank you a lot, you are right completely. I've always had a lot of trouble colouring and even though I analyse other people's art thoroughly, I can't seem to understand how people do such fine and controlled strokes whilst I have no technique and am only doing it randomly. It does make me sad because I didn't grow up with a drawing tablet so all the art I did was drawings and sketches with a pencil, no colouring, no painting. I feel like maybe I would be a bit better but even though people keep saying you can learn how to paint and become skilled, some people truly just are talented. They have that sort of intelligence needed to perceive random splotches and shapes of paint that will make something entirely else in the end and do it properly while I just can't. That's what makes me so angry. I hate how I can draw kinda decently but painting will be the death of me.

Yes, I agree. It seems like some people are just born with some special ability that allows them to improve at a superhuman pace. It really is crazy! But I guess even those people run into issues with their own art- we all do. Remember everyone learns differently and at a different speed, and just because you didn't grow up with something, doesn't mean you can't learn it! Also, even if we want our art to be perfect straight away, I think that would take the fun and challenge out of it. There wouldn't really be a point to it if your art stays static all the time? I dunno, just some things to think about.
Stay strong and hang in there!
