52:: Deep in Thought

Initially, this was a poem. No, I take that back. Initially, this is a true event, this actually happens all the time. Then Spanish became unbarably boring. I've more or less caught up, in case you were wondering.

Here's the poem:

sometimes I want to reach behind me
and grab it.
a black silk cloth.
and i do.
i pull it over my eyes,
my chin,
and it falls down past my toes.
it is the pefect temperature there.
but dark.
all i can see is in front of me,
lit up like a neon light.
ribs, glowing like rust in the
nothing.
and a beautiful beating heart.
so alive, it sings.
so alive
i see its hopes and dreams and wishes,
its loves, its cares, its preferences.
its fears, its anger, its hate,
pulsing with fire.
words like
flight
fright
fight
run throught my head.
then i recognize it.
they're my wants. my dislikes.
my heart.
in the pitch black.
in the black silk cloth.
over my eyes.
