Description This is the giant, original image of Entsetzen from Demon Dogs . I just wanted to show you guys the ridiculousness of what I was working with. This is the actual size of the stock photo I used. Also, for those of you who are interested, I decided to post some info about Ent here, instead of cluttering the comments of the actual deviation.

Fiction: Entsetzen was a Doberman trained to fight for the German military alongside many other dogs like him. Each dog was trained to use a fighting style suited to their individual skills and body type. Ent was especially skilled and honored amongst the army dogs. He was top dog, the leader of the pack. But he had no outlet for all his fighting spirit and ability. He was never called to duty. Unsatisfied with his lot in life, trained to fight but always ordered to sit and stay, he turned on his masters. Despite the efforts of both man and canine to subdue him, Entsetzen killed. He killed, and he escaped.

From that point on, he lived a free and happy life doing whatever he pleased. This consisted mostly of throwing his weight around, showing anyone with eyes that he was boss whether they be human or animal. Eventually, he found an injured German Shepherd pup and, for whatever reason, took that pup under his proverbial wing. This pup was Tier. He taught Tier how to fight, using the knowledge he gained in military training to chose the proper techniques. Over the years, Tier grew into a monster of a dog, larger than the average German Shepherd. And he was a monstrous fighter, too, more powerful even than Entsetzen. The two are inseparable and, some would argue, undefeatable. They are the demon dogs.

Fact: Honestly, I don't remember where the idea of Tier having a mentor popped up. Though it probably originated in the car, listening to music. A lot of ideas pop up there. Other than that, Ent just kind of came out of nowhere and fit in really well. Of the two, if I had to pick, Tier is my favorite, but I love the idea of Tier having an older, more experienced dog teaching him and whatnot. I love Tier, but I also love Ent's role in the story.

Full sized Tier can be found here .
