Umu, someone flipped his switch... what would be the most offensive thing to a puppet... insult his basic 'humanity' ? Call him a monster that would never understand the living? A fakster? Ah, I would definitely wanna kill that person/people. But that would cause a greater reaction if not at all (if he didn't care for other's opinions and played it cool). It would most probably have to be something to do with his past experience and someone prying too deep. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Insulting his intelligence purely based upon what he is could get him to "flip his switch" so to say (though he would also weigh in how worth it it is), also threatening the safety of someone he cares for would get him instantly aggressive. He's quite ah, unsettling, in such a case. He gets really logical? Or well, every action of his becomes an 'experiment' with a theory, result, and comment. (such as; "Theory: I can sever a limb with one motion. Result: Inconclusive. Further testing required." )

I wouldn't say he's mentally unhinged; He just has no empathy for those who push him to breaking point (or he's purposefully trying to intimidate them to gain control of the situation)
I can, however, see that XD He's got a serious curiosity compulsion and if that falls into his sights he would definitely try and figure it out
