This, Ladies and Gentlemen, is what we refer to as an "Oh Holy SHITBALLS" moment!

Its a mindblowing painting, but I couldn't help but notice some weird-clad guy in the ground at the right bottom side... one of the horsemen fell off his mount?

I saw this in a youtube tribute to the hussars and found it here so I could give it the praise it deserves. You managed to depict an incredible sight, the last sight in fact, of some poor soldier who ended up on the wrong side of a very long lance in the hands of some of the best mounted warriors in history. I cannot find an issue to critique. The amount of detail is stellar, the proportions of the horses and riders is spot on, the colour in this makes it look more suited for a gallery in the Louvre, and the sense of motion in this all adds up to one of the best pictures I've seen on this site. I am truly happy I stumbled onto this and even happier I could honor it, and the one who made it. Well done! Ā

I would have loved to hear how it sounded, the wind through those wings
