Description
The book of my childhood has premiered all over the world, and soon I'll see it myself, so I wanted to get some things down on paper before I see Peter Jackson's interpretation. Problem is, I had started so many pieces I wanted to finish, but ran out of time to do so. So here is, unfortunately, a compilation of most of those pieces.
Starting from the top: Bilbo on a barrel, a few dwarves and Bilbo (I know a lot of people have been upset about how crazy the dwarves look in the movies [admittedly, Kili needs more of a beard than his "manly stubble"], but I'm actually cool with it-- I can't imagine trying to get an audience to distinguish between thirteen similar-looking characters), Dori trying to help Bilbo into a tree during the goblin attack, Thranduil, Legolas at the Battle of Five Armies, Rivendell elves heckling the dwarves, Gandalf offending sensible hobbits, and the Unexpected Party.
